Q. What type and size of images can I upload?
A. You can upload jpegs. To allow us to produce high
quality head replacement work we would ask that you
do not send us image files that are smaller than 400kb.
Upload time will vary depending on the speed of your
internet connection and the size of the file. The maximum
size of image file you can upload is 10mb.
Q. What type of images work best for head transplants?
A. It is important that the head you want us to use
is looking in the general direction of the camera and
isn't obscured in any way. If you want us to use a head
from a photo containing a large group of people (e.g.
a family group attending a wedding) please make sure
there is enough detail in the persons face. We can enlarge
the head and keep the detail that is already there,
but we cannot improve on this detail.
Q. What level of quality can I expect when viewing a head transplant?
A. Our digital artists are very experienced and they take great care when carrying out head transplant work. When a head is transferred from your image onto one of our designs it is carefully extracted from the original file, manipulated in size and rotated to match the character in the design, before being accurately placed in position. The designer will then carry out minor alterations to the neck area to make the junction between the head and the character as seamless as possible. They will then adjust colour saturation, brightness, contrast, and image sharpness. As a matter of course any red eye will be removed.
Q. What kind of printing process do you use for producing cards?
A. Greeting cards are produced using a Xerox colour printer that incorporates solid ink technology. This print method is one of the most environmentally friendly ways to put an image on paper (this is because it is virtually waste free). Solid ink produces brilliant, vibrant images that have a 2400 FinePoint™ print resolution, displaying incredible detail and halftones. Each card is printed using high quality 250gsm extra white greeting card media.
Q. What kind of printing process do you use for producing poster prints?
A. Posters are produced using an Epson wide format inkjet printer. This machine generates exceptionally high quality images using Epson’s pigment based Ultra Chrome archival inks. Images are printed onto instant dry photo gloss paper (210gsm).
Q. How lightfast will my poster be?
A. Epson guarantee that prints produced with their Ultra Chrome archival inks are lightfast for upwards of 75 years (please note this applies to prints that are not placed in direct sunlight).
Q. Does it matter who owns the copyright for an image?
A. You must own the copyright (or have written permission from the owner of the copyright allowing you to instruct reproduction) before we can print the image (or any portion of the image). This is an important condition contained within our standard terms. If the image is a photograph or artwork you have taken/produced yourself then you own the copyright.
When you accept our terms you will be confirming you own the copyright or have the legal right to ask us to reproduce the image (or part of the image). You will also be confirming that if an action is raised against us for copyright infringement, and this involves an image you have supplied, then you will reimburse us for any settlement we have to make.
Q. How quickly will you deliver my order?
A. Our products are dispatched using Royal Mail First
Class Post or Special Delivery Service, depending on
which option you select. We are unable to control the
delivery process so please allow enough time for your
order to arrive. First class items are not guaranteed
next day delivery and orders being dispatched using
this method may take several days to arrive.
If you select dispatch using Royal Mail Special Delivery
Service, delivery is guaranteed before 1pm the working
day following the day of dispatch. Please note, Royal
Mail regard working days as being Mon. - Fri. (excl.
bank holidays). Although there is no guarantee that
special delivery packages will arrive on a Saturday,
we generally find items dispatched on a Friday that
are addressed to residential addresses do arrive on
that day. Special Delivery packages require a signature
upon delivery. If deliveries cannot be signed for they
are taken back to the depot and need to be picked up
in person from the Post Office or redelivered at a later
date.
Q. Can my order be delivered outwith the UK?
A. At the present time we can only deliver orders to a UK postal address.
